Pastor Brad Harlow has been in the ministry for 25 years. He began serving as pastor of FBC Carterville in 2004. He is originally from Herrin, IL. He has a Bachelor of Psychology from Southern Illinois University and attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. After graduating from high school, Brad began a career as a welder for 10 years. After being called into the ministry, Brad was licensed and ordained at Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin, IL. He has since served two other churches before coming to lead the congregation of FBC Carterville.

He has been married to Sherrie Harlow for 29 years. They have two sons. Kyle and his wife, Ashley, and Dustin, and his wife, Cynthia, and their son, Noah.

Brad led our congregation to adopt the motto "Believe - Belong - Become". The church has a mission to lead people to "Believe" in God, "Belong" to a family of faith, and "Become" more like Christ as we grow in faith.

Austin Clark

Austin Clark serves FBC as Minister of Music, Education, and Youth. He is originally from Jackson, TN. He has a Bachelor of Music from Union University and a Master of Music from the University of Southern Mississippi. During his years of education, Austin served as Music Director at churches in Counce, TN, Brownsville, TN, and Richton, MS. Austin began serving FBC Carterville in June of 2010 and began working full-time for FBC in March 2011.

He is married to Leah. They have a son, Elisha, who was born in 2009.

In less than a year Austin has made tremendous growth in the music ministry of FBC. He is passionate about leading God's people to join in unified worship each week. He is helping to train the leadership of FBC through Christian education, and he is investing in the lives of our students in order to strengthen their spiritual walk.

Marianne Cowan

Marianne Cowan has been the secretary for FBC Carterville for 26 years. She has served under four pastors, three music directors, and six youth ministers. She publishes the Visitor (our newsletter) and our bulletin weekly. She maintains our financial and membership records, as well as many other duties for the church. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, bicycling, and reading. She is also a volleyball official for junior high and high school. If you have any questions about the church, she is sure to have the answer.

She is married to Steve. They have two children, Tierney an Christopher, and one grand daughter, Preslie.
